Objective:To verify the WWAN function in each of the supported country using ThinkPad systems
CRITERIA
All the WAN should work normally.
All the information should be shown correctly.

DETAILS
ATTENTION!! Please follow below information.
1. Please check Error and Warning message in Event Viewer before you start the test case and after you complete the test case, and report it to your team lead, then arrange to open defect, if needed.

2. Perform All Test in Battery Mode (Some of the test items need to perform in AC Mode, follow each Test Case).

3. All Test Activity should be performed with AMT Enabled as Default (applicable on vPro enabled systems).

4. Please check Usability / Cosmetic issues (correct sentence/appropriate display/etc.) and open defect, if needed.

Note:
If you notice any abnormal behaviour in system performance, messages shown, application not responding, application crashes with some message or any functional difference, report the same with full details.
Final test report should have full system details, software version used, Carrier tested, Problems list if any. You can add your other observations/details in a separate sheet.

On Wireless WAN Account Information window, click on Sign-up and Support button.
Lenovo Mobile Broadband Connect would launch.
Using the Desktop shortcut:
Double click on the Mobile Broadband icon on the Desktop.
Lenovo Mobile Broadband Connect would launch.

Manually creating a WWAN profile:
-Switch to Advanced view on Access Connections by clicking on the Advanced button on ‘Switch to:’
-On Access Connections Main GUI, click on the Location Profile tab.
-Click on the Create button.
-Create New Profile window would appear. Enter the desired profile name for Name of location profile. Select Wireless WAN from the drop-down list box for Type of Network Connection.
-Click Next.
- Select ‘Connect to HSDPA/GPRS network using Access Connections’ radio button.
-On Select WAN Settings, choose Automatic Settings or Custom settings from the list.
-When Custom Settings is selected, click on Edit Settings button. Select the service provider from the list of ‘Known WAN service provider Settings’.
- Confirm profile was successfully created.
- Confirm profile was successfully connected.
- Confirm no application error occurs.
- Specify that the following connection information:

AC WWAN Function with Non-Activated SIM

-Launch Access Connections and go to Connect to the Internet tab >> Mobile Broadband radio button.
-Click on [Find].
-A dialog window should launch informing the User that SIM is not activated and if User wants to activate the SIM.
-Click Yes to Launch LMBC.
- Complete the activation process.
- Confirm the profile connects successfully with the activated SIM.


Registration Status is none: Tower is shown as ‘Unknown’
- Confirm LMBC is launched successfully without errors.
- Confirm no application hang-up occurs with Access Connection when non-activated SIM is used.

SIM activation window Pop up should not take more time.



With the activated SIM, connectivity should be within 60seconds.

Using Connect function
-Configure system with non-activated SIM card.
-Launch Access Connections. On the Location drop-down list box, select the WWAN profile.
-Click on [Connect].
-A dialog window should launch informing the User that SIM is not activated and if User wants to activate the SIM.

- Complete the activation process.
- Confirm the profile connects successfully with the activated SIM

Registration Status is none: Network search continues until maximum time-out.
- Confirm LMBC is launched successfully without errors.
