DETAILS
ATTENTION!! Please follow below information.
1. Please check Error and Warning message in Event Viewer before you start the test case and after you complete the test case, and report it to your team lead, then arrange to open defect, if needed.

2. Perform All Test in Battery Mode (Some of the test items need to perform in AC Mode, follow each Test Case).

3. All Test Activity should be performed with AMT Enabled as Default (applicable on vPro enabled systems).

4. Please check Usability / Cosmetic issues (correct sentence/appropriate display/etc.) and open defect, if needed.

Set up a Agent Presence configuration

1. Open the LSM console (Start | All Programs | LANDesk | LANDesk System Manager) and click Hardware configuration.

2. In the console that opens, click AMT | Agent Presence | Configuration. Agent Presence is a global configuration. It will apply the selected configuration to all Intel AMT 2.0 devices that have a LANDesk agent installed on them.

3. Open the Agent Presence Configuration page and set the Heartbeat times to 30 seconds and the Startup times to 60 seconds, then click Apply.

4. On a managed Intel AMT device, open the Windows Task Manager and kill the collector.exe process. Within 30 seconds, an Agent Presence alert should show up in the LSM alert log.

5. Double-click the alert to get more detailed information.

6. Return to the managed Intel AMT device, and from the LDClient directory (C:\Program Files\LANDesk\LDClient) run restartmon.exe to restart the collector. Within 30 seconds another Agent Presence alert should appear in the LSM alert log indicating that the LANDesk Monitoring service is started.

Using 32-bit Console to test Agent Presence
Step 1:Setup a Agent Presence configuration
  1. Open the LDSM console (Start | All Programs | LANDesk | LANDesk Management Suite) and click Hardware configuration.
  2. Select Configure | Intel vPro options | Agent Presence. Intel vPro agent presence configuration window will open.
  3. Check all checkboxes on.
  4. Set Hertbeat to 30 seconds and Startup to 60 seconds.

Step 2:Test a Anget Presence feature
  1. On the managed Intel AMT device, open Services Manager by clicking Start | Run the type Services.msc then hit enter.
  2. Stop the LANDesk Mangement Agent service.
  3. In a few munites, LANDesk Management Anget service will start automatically or you can start yourself.
  4. On the LDMS server, Select Tools | Logs. Confirm that the Agent Presence alerts are appeared.


Using Web Console to test Agent Presence
Step 1:Setup a Agent Presence configuration
  1. Open the LSM console (Start | All Programs | LANDesk | LANDesk System Manager) and click Hardware configuration.
  2. Click Intel vPro | Agent Presence | Configuration.
  3. Check all checkboxes on.
  4. Set Hertbeat to 30 seconds and Startup to 60 seconds.

Step 2:Test a Agent Presence feature
  1. On the managed Intel AMT device, open Services Manager by clicking Start | Run the type Services.msc then hit enter.
  2. Stop the LANDesk Mangement Agent service.

  4. On the LSM server, double click the target device. Select Logs | Alert log. Confirm that alerts are appeared.
