    Known Limitations
    1. OnSignalStateChange event which will be notified by the driver the signal change in network, Once we receive OnSignalStateChange event Accessconnections wrapper will notify UI modules about the signal change, in this case wrapper did not receive OnSignalStateChange from the driver hence GUI modules was not updated the same info.

    Reference Defects:
    ECR82649 W7:ACtoolbar & ACWLIcon has NO WWAN signal after resume PM/S5 w/PIN
ECR82282 W7:No WWAN signal show in AC tray afr resume PM/S5 with pin enable
    Restriction

The following are as designed as per AC 5.60 Specs Addendum (Doc. # AC560-1-001)
    1. Accessconnections can find the available WAN network if the SIM is inactive
    (ECR58531)
    2. Accessconnections will not disconnect or show any warning message for WAN if other wan application is launched because WAN port can be opened many application at a time. This is applicable only for Windows 7 OS. (ECR58532, ECR58824)

    3. Accessconnections will support wide scan feature only in Gobi2000 wan card with Telstra SIM card (ECR58834)

    4. "Connection status window" will not have Power ON/OFF, Find WLAN, Launch Access Connections and Modify Settings buttons for Windows 7 versions of Access Connections. This is as designed as per AC5.5 Spec Addendum 20091019.
ECR48090, W7:Some function buttons in ACWL Connection Status window are missing

    5. ECR119055 W7JP:AC:SMS can only send 70 character of SMS message [UR-03379SG]

Reason: GSM 7-bit alphabet is default ==> max 160 7-bit characters
16-bit UCS-2 which is used for Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Japanese or Cyrillic alphabet languages ==> max 70 16-bit characters."

For Gobi 3000 adapters, if user select specific service provider in scan Newark list ( 2G/3G) then only the specific service type will be saved in profile else default service type Automatic will be saved in profile even if user select menu option in Mobile broadband service provider settings. (Ref:ECR83364)
    Information
    1. Ericsson WWAN profile will automatically connect without entering the SIM PIN after restart. This is expected since Ericsson WWAN was not turned off while the system is restarting/rebooting.

Pin Security takes effective if Device is turned OFF and ON. If you need the SIM security in Restart, then make sure the system BIOS Turn device off and ON in Restart.
That is the reason you dont see it in S3/S4/S5 because in these case Device is turned OFF and ON.

In Win7, our drivers supported F35 F36, F55, F53 F35 and F36 did not had support of Soft OFF , Hence from host Driver / Software we do not send Soft OFF command to Device because we dont know if Power cycle will happen or not by the BIOS.

And if F35 / F36 devices get OFF command they will never boot unless power cycled.

Test all the supported SIM / providers.

Test both 32bit / 64 bit versions unless the test plan specifies the version to test.
