Objective:To verify all the network device confirmation and basic function test for all the devices.
CRITERIA

All Network devices to work correctly.

ATTENTION!! Please follow below information.
1. Please check Error and Warning message in Event Viewer before you start the test case and after you complete the test case, and report it to your team lead, then arrange to open defect, if needed.

2. Perform All Test in Battery Mode (Some of the test items need to perform in AC Mode, follow each Test Case).

3. All Test Activity should be performed with AMT Enabled as Default (applicable on vPro enabled systems).

4. Please check Usability / Cosmetic issues (correct sentence/appropriate display/etc.) and open defect, if needed.

Installation

1. Boot to OS.

2. Install WWAN driver as per build letter.

3. Install latest build of Mobile Broadband Connect.

4. Confirm Mobile Broadband Connect was installed successfully.

5. Restart the system.

6. Confirm Mobile Broadband Connect does not launch on system boot automatically (MBC should only be launched thru Access Connections).

7. Confirm Mobile Broadband Connect cannot be installed in User Mode.

-Mobile Broadband Connect can be installed successfully in Admin mode.

Uninstallation

1. Uninstall Mobile Broadband Connect in Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.

2. Restart the system.

6. Confirm Mobile Broadband Connect was uninstalled successfully.

7. Confirm Mobile Broadband Connect cannot be uninstalled in User Mode.

-Mobile Broadband Connect can be uninstalled successfully in Admin mode.

-Mobile Broadband Connect cannot be uninstalled in User Mode

Carrier Information

1. Install WWAN driver as per build letter.

2. Install latest build of Mobile Broadband Connect then reboot.

3. Launch Mobile Broadband Connect Application.

4. Confirm Welcome tab is shown and should contain correct carrier information (ex Verizon for EVDO adapter or Vodafone/AT&T for UMTS adapter+SIM card).

5. Also confirm "Sign Up Now button" is shown. Once clicked, carier Self Activation wizard or activation information are shown.

- Mobile Broadband Connect shows correct carrier information
Power Management Verification

1. Launch Mobile Broadband Connect application.

2. Suspend/Hibernate the system by Fn+F4 / Fn+F12.

3. Resume the system after 1 minute.

4. Confirm the carrier details are shown properly and no application error occurs.

5. Repeat steps 2-4 for 10 trials.

Installation

0. Configure system with WWAN adapter.

1. Boot to OS. Login to Administrator account.

2. Install TVT GPS as per build letter.

3. Confirm TVT GPS was installed successfully.

7. Confirm Mobile Broadband Connect cannot be installed in User Mode.

- No error message should appear during or after installation.

- TVT GPS should not be installed if system is configured without WWAN card.

- All application shortcuts should be created:

- WXP, Win 8: Desktop shortcut, Start menu shortcut

- Win7: Control Panel >> Network and Internet shortcut

- No desktop and Start menu shortcuts should be created on Windows 7.

- All shortcuts should launch TVT GPS without errors when clicked.

- An entry for TVT GPS should be created on Add/Remove Programs (or equivalent, depends on the OS).

- Confirm application launches without errors.

Uninstallation

1. Boot to OS. Login to Administrator account.

2. Go to Add/Remove Programs (or equivalent, depends on the OS).

3. Select TVT GPS and uninstall.

4. Confirm TVT GPS cannot be uninstalled in User Mode.

- No error message should appear during or after uninstallation.

- TVT GPS components should be uninstalled completely.

GPS Tracking

1. Launch TVT GPS.

2. Click on the Start button to begin Real Time Tracking.

3. Confirm system obtains satellite fix successfully.

4. Launch ThinkVantage Maps and check if current location is shown.

- No error message should appear after launching TVT GPS .

- No error message should appear while obtaining satellite fix.

- Confirm Satellite Information is shown correctly.

- Confirm all available satellites are represented on both the globe and signal bar.

- Confirm Status is shown correctly.

- Confirm ThinkVantage Maps can be launched with tracking started.

- Confirm current location is shown on ThinkVantage Maps.

Power Management Verification

1. Launch TVT GPS.

2. Click on the Start button to begin Real Time Tracking.

5. Suspend / Hibernate the system.
