DETAILS
ATTENTION!! Please follow below information.
1. Please check Error and Warning message in Event Viewer before you start the test case and after you complete the test case, and report it to your team lead, then arrange to open defect, if needed.

2. Perform All Test in Battery Mode (Some of the test items need to perform in AC Mode, follow each Test Case).

3. All Test Activity should be performed with AMT Enabled as Default (applicable on vPro enabled systems).

4. Please check Usability / Cosmetic issues (correct sentence/appropriate display/etc.) and open defect, if needed.

Installation
1. Install Access Connection then restart the system
2. Launch Access Connection-->Advanced
3. Confirm "Mobile Hotspot" tab is present
4. Go to "Mobile Hotspot" tab
5. Confirm "Start" button is disable/grayed out when no internet connection is established and (key) password is blank





Uninstallation
1. Uninstall Access Connection as per build letter
2. Reboot PC
3. Confirm Access Connection got uninstalled successfully

  • No error message or system malfunction during Install and Uninstall
  • Make sure all options are working properly
  • Confirm that default "Network name (SSID)" is the computer name
  • Message appear in Mobile Hotspot GUI:

Automatically enable when I am connected to the Internet:
1. Launch Access Connection-->Advanced--> "Mobile Hotspot" tab
2. Click Advanced Options
3. Check "Automatically enable when I am connected to the Internet"

4. Turn ON WLAN Radio
5. Launch Access Connection and connect any profile (i.e. Ethernet, WiFi, WiMax, Mobile Broadband)
6. Go to "Mobile Hotspot" tab again
7. Enter SSID and Key (Password)
8. Click "Start" Button and confirmed "Mobile Hotspot" started without clicking twice the "Start" Button
9. Put the system to Suspend
10 After 1 minute, resume the system

Toolbar Profile Password Verification [UR-03273AP]
1. Boot system using Windows 7 Ultimate.
2. Launch Access Connection-->Advanced--> Software Access Point tab
3. Make sure that "Enable Notification" in User Preferences is enabled
4. Connect to any profile with internet connection
5. Confirm Network Name is default and enter Key(Password)
6. Confirm "Show password text" is unchecked and password is hidden
7. Move the cursor in AC Gauge, confirm that the password is not shown in the tool tip profile

Mobile hotspot verification with different connections.
1. Connect to a LAN profile

3. Go to Tools > Location Switching and enable "When no other connections are available, connect through Mobile Broadband or WiMAX
4. Go to Mobile Hotspot tab and enter password and go to Advanced Options and enable "Automatic start mobile hotspot when connected to internet"

Shutdown1. Configure "Mobile Hotspot" setting (i.e. SSID, Password)
2. Click Advanced options check the "Automatically enable when I am connected to the internet"
3. Click Start button
4. Confirm "Mobile Hotspot" has started.

5. From the client system, confirm your system"s "Mobile Hotspot" SSID is broadcasted.
6. Connect to "Mobile Hotspot" SSID in the client system
7. Confirm connection is successful
8. Confirm that Client system information is listed in "Mobile Hotspot" GUI (i.e. Computer name, IP address, MAC address)

9. Shutdown the host system
10. Confirm that the client system is disconnected.
