ATTENTION!! Please follow below information.
1. Please check Error and Warning message in Event Viewer before you start the test case and after you complete the test case, and report it to your team lead, then arrange to open defect, if needed.

2. Perform All Test in Battery Mode (Some of the test items need to perform in AC Mode, follow each Test Case).

3. All Test Activity should be performed with AMT Enabled as Default (applicable on vPro enabled systems).

4. Please check Usability / Cosmetic issues (correct sentence/appropriate display/etc.) and open defect, if needed.

Information:

The network type of LTE Mobile Broadband connection is GSM

Installation/Uninstallation Test

1. Perform overwrite installation for the same driver version.
2. Refer to the build letter for any limitations/restrictions for overwrite installation.

Note:

There should not be "Connect to EVDO/1xRTT network using Access connection" in options.
It is removed for the following reasons:
EVDO/LTE connection switching is automatically conducted by Gobi4K firmware. That is not controled by Access Connections. For example, even though we create a profile by using "Connect to EVDO/1xRTT network using access connection ", the profile will automatically to LTE network. That is not in our control.
- Make sure that Connect to LTE Service /HSDPA/GPRS network using Access Connection is present

- Make sure Connect to EVDO/1xRTT network using Access Connection option is not present

1.WIth Gobi 4K 7750 card, install Access Connection.
2.Launch Access Connection --> Advanced --> Location Profile --> Create --> Type of Network Connection "Mobile Broadband"
3. Click Next. Check Connect to LTE Service /HSDPA/GPRS network using Access Connection and select Custom Settings & Edit Settings.
4.Click on Known Mobile Broadband service providers Settings.



Note:
There should be just one instance of Verizon LTE and not two.

Mobile Broadband Activation in LTE

- Make sure that there is no dropdown for carrier selection with MC7750 card

- Make sure that Mobile Broadband information is same as that in Wireless Connection status window.

AT&T LTE

1.WIth Gobi 4K 7700 card, install latest LMBA

Test all the supported SIM / providers.

Test both 32bit / 64 bit versions unless the test plan specifies the version to test.

Please check the version of Access Connection to be used for each product. Access Connection may require specific version of device driver to be installed for the adapters to be tested.

Access Connections applications may have other functions/GUI not mentioned in this test case. Please verify all the available functions and GUI that comes with the supported version of Access Connections. Any updation required to the test case, Please inform Yamato Lenovo Engineer.

If any country specific scenerio is needed but not mentioned in the test case, inform Lenovo Engineer for test case update.

"Unable to connect to network at this time due to out of coverage or sign-up period is expired. Please contact your service operator or click on "Repair" button for sign-up"
4. When click on Repair button it should launch MBC for SIM activation.

Scenario 3:
With already 'Activated' SIM inserted in the system.
Launch LMBA from AC

option.
3. On Wireless WAN Account Information window, click on

LMBA Desktop Icon

Install LMBA and notive that a generic Mobile Broadband icon will be available at the desktop. This icon should change dynamically according to the following:
1) As soon as LMBA is able to determine the actual carrier then the generic Mobile Broadband icon on the desktop will be changed to that of the carrier detected.

2) If the SIM is not yet activated , the Mobile Broadband desktop icon will launch the Lenovo Mobile Broadband Connect software (LMBA) welcome page

3) If the SIM is Activated, the Mobile Broadband desktop icon will launch the Access Connections software (AC) main page if Access Connections is installed.


Note: Windows 7 does not show the icon on the desktop per the Win7 UI spec. Because of this the LMBA version for Win7 will not place the Mobile Broadband icon on the desktop.
The above test is applicable for WXP and Vista only
-Confirm that LMBA generic desktop icon changes to that of carrier upon carrier detection

4. With Qualcomm Adapter connect to both EVDO and HSPA mode with AC in live network
