ATTENTION!! Please follow below information.
1. Please check Error and Warning message in Event Viewer before you start the test case and after you complete the test case, and report it to your team lead, then arrange to open defect, if needed.

2. Perform All Test in Battery Mode (Some of the test items need to perform in AC Mode, follow each Test Case).

3. All Test Activity should be performed with AMT Enabled as Default (applicable on vPro enabled systems).

4. Please check Usability / Cosmetic issues (correct sentence/appropriate display/etc.) and open defect, if needed.

1.Quick S3 Resume

System Preparation:
Test machine should have the following installed:
1. Latest IOIC supported BIOS and H8(EC)
2. Latest IOIC supported AHCI Storage driver
3. Latest AMDPM Application
4. Latest Graphics Driver
5. Latest Catalyst Control Center
6. Latest WLAN driver/firmware (currently supported are Realtek and Broadcom)
7. One wireless AP which connect to internet
8. IOIC2.0 is supported only on Windows 7 or win8 (AMD design)
9. Before test,pls confirm IOIC is enabled on AMDPM utility from Catalyst Control Center
10.In order to record resume timer accurately,suggest to prepare Py Software Active Webcam and Wireshark Network Traffic Analyzer

Quick S3 Resume
Procedure Expected behaviour Results
1.Connect test sku to access point
2.Run ping to the gateway or some website,such as www.baidu.com Confirm ping is running without any issues
3.Go to S3 by manual and wait for one minute Confirm enter s3 successfully
4.Resume from S3 and record resume time Based on SPEC,s3 resume time should be less than 1.5s

3.Adaptive Sleep

Introduction:
It is an intelligent software architecture that tracks the users usage patterns and adapts system sleep and wake policies based on the users behavior. It optimizes a balance between system resume time and battery life.

System Preparation:
- Test machine should have the following installed:
1. Latest IOIC supported BIOS and H8(EC)
2. Latest IOIC supported AHCI Storage driver
3. Latest AMDPM Application
4. Latest Graphics Driver
5. Latest Catalyst Control Center

Adaptive Sleep (Idle)
1. Power ON system in AC mode
2. Set Windows Power Plan to put the computer to sleep after 1 min when plugged in
3. Open CCC and set the following:
3.1. Time when will system will go to S4 after entering S3 (1 hour)
3.2. Time when will system will go back to S3 after going to S4 (30 minutes)
4. Leave the system Idle for 1 minute System will enter S3 mode
5. Leave the system in S3 mode for 1 hour After 1 hour the system will wakeup and immediately enter S4 mode
6. Leave the system in S4 mode for another 30 minutes After 30 minutes the system will wakeup and immediately enter S3 mode
7. Resume from S3 System should resume to desktop in 1.5 seconds
or less (Quick S3 Resume Criteria)

4.WLAN Fast Connect

Introduction:
Fast Connect (also called Network List Offload) causes the NIC or low-level driver software to cache important state for known Access Points.
This allows very prompt re-association with these APs after a systems NIC has been powered down. AMD calls this rapid network associate feature Fast Connect.

System Preparation:
- Test machine should have the following installed:
1. Latest IOIC supported BIOS and H8(EC)
2. Latest IOIC supported AHCI Storage driver
3. Latest AMDPM Application
4. Latest Graphics Driver
5. Latest Catalyst Control Center
6. Latest WLAN driver/firmware (currently supported are Realtek and Broadcom)

Access Point Preparation:
- Configure two(2) Access Point that support multiple channels
- Access Point 1 = SSID: Test1
- Access Point 2 = SSID: Test2

Fast Connect After S3 in same AP Channel
1. Power ON system in AC mode and ensure that WLAN Adapter is configured properly No Yellow mark in device manager
2. Ensure that Enable WLAN Fast Connect is NOT checked on AMDPM Application Need to check default settings
3. Connect to the Access Point 1 Can connect to the Access Point 1 without any error
4. Ping gateway continously Can ping the gateway without any problem
5. Enter S3 and wait for one minute
6. Resume from S3 by Fn or Power button or LID open
7. Measure time of connectivity to the Access Point 1 - Should connect to the Access Point 1
- Ping runs continously without any error
8 . Disconnect from the Access Point 1
9. Go to AMDPM Application and CHECK Enable WLAN Fast Connect

5.IOIC Wake Timer

System Preparation:

Application update after Resume from S3/S4
1. Power ON system in AC mode and ensure that WLAN Adapter is configured properly No Yellow mark in device manager
2. Ensure that Enable WLAN Fast Connect is checked on AMDPM Application Need to check default settings
3. Connect to the Access Point 1 Can connect to the Access Point 1 without any error
4. Open Mail MetroApp and sign in to Mail account
5. Do not close Mail MetroApp then enter S3
6. Use another system to send email to test machine
7. Resume test system from S3 by Fn or Power button or LID open - Should connect to the Access Point 1
- Mail MetroApp is still running without any error
- Email should be receive after somet ime (depends on how frequent the email check cycle of the email client, size of the email attachement, etc.)
8. Close Mail MetroApp
9. Open Weather MetroApp and take note of the current weather condition
10. Enter S4 and wait for 1 hour
11. Resume from S4 by Power button or LID open - Should connect to the Access Point 1
- Weather MetroApp is still running without error
- Weather MetroApp updates to the latest weather condition after some time
12. Repeat step 2-11 in DC mode
